The insights found within Sensor Tower’s App Teardown product are derived by analyzing app binaries published on the App Store and Google Play.

After acquiring an app, we perform an analysis of the codebase to detect the presence of any SDKs. These mobile insights are grouped into SDK Types based on their primary functionality, (e.g. Advertising, Analytics, Attribution, Authentication, Customer Engagement, Developer Tools, Frameworks, and Payments.)

Over time, we expect to continue scaling and adding support for more apps and SDKs.
