In our App Update Timeline feature, you can track the most important updates to any app, including changes to its name, description, price, icon, screenshots, file size, and much more. You can select which updates you'd like to see by selecting the filters. Please note that keyword updates are only available for apps on the Apple App Store in the United States. 


You can view when an app released a new version, updated the screenshots, updated the promo text, and any other update type with this feature. You can dive deep into the updates shown on the graphs in Category Rankings and Keyword Rankings


You are able to view up to 28 types of app updates for iOS apps and 18 for Android apps: 


iOS

  • Version: version updates of the app
  • Name: the name of the app
  • Subtitle: the subtitle of the app
  • Price: the price of the app, otherwise free
  • Minimum OS Version: the lowest iOS version supported by the app
  • Supported Devices: devices the app supports 
  • Publisher Transfer: when the app is transferred from one publisher to another  
  • Publisher Name: the name of the app publisher
  • Featured Reviews: popular reviews displayed at the top of the reviews section on a listing 
  • Support URL: the URL that directs users to the app support team
  • Top in App Purchases: in-app purchases ranked by popularity
  • Promo Text: app’s promotional text that appears at the top of the description and is up to 170 characters long
  • Description: description of what the app does, how users can benefit from using it, etc.
  • File Size: the size of the app file 
  • Category: category which the app is put under on Apple App Store 
  • Keywords: a string of keywords an app chooses and is limited to 100 characters total, with terms separated by commas and no spaces
  • Countries: country or region in which the app is made available
  • Languages: languages supported by the app 
  • Advisories
  • Content Rating: content ratings or warnings (e.g. films, music, games, etc.), app developers are responsible for complying with local requirements in each territory where the app is available
  • Related Apps: other apps offering relevant services as this app
  • Icon: the icon of the app
  • Screenshots: images captured from the app’s UI to visually communicate app’s user experience
  • Watch Enabled: whether or not the app is enabled for Apple WatchOS
  • Watch Icon: the icon of the app appearing on Apple WatchOS if the app is watch enabled
  • Watch Screenshots: images captured from the app’s WatchOS UI 
  • Message Enabled: if the app is enabled for iMessage 
  • Message Icon: the icon of the app in iMessage
  • Message Screenshots: the screenshot of the app appearing in iMessage


Google Play 

  • Version: version updates of the app
  • Name: the name of the app
  • Price: the price of the app, otherwise free
  • Minimum OS Version: the lowest OS version supported by the app
  • Publisher Name: the name of the app publisher
  • Featured Reviews: popular reviews displayed at the top of the reviews section on a listing 
  • Support URL: the URL that directs users to the app support team
  • Short Description: an 80-characters field that is shown to the users in the listing and can then be expanded to see the full description
  • Description: the long description that has space up to 4000 characters for an app
  • File Size: file size of the app
  • Category: category which the app is put under on Google Play Store
  • Content Rating: ratings assigned to apps displayed on Google Play Store and determined by app developer's questionnaire responses
  • Related Apps: other apps offering relevant services as this app
  • Icon: the icon of the app
  • Screenshots: images captured from the app’s UI to visually communicate app’s user experience
  • Contain Ads: appears beside the app's icon informing users if the app contains in-app ads
  • Install Range: the range of install events of an app, more at here
  • Feature Graphic: feature graphics of the app required for all apps that get a feature placement
